We build for the part of HR that has to be right.
Most HR software is designed to look effortless. Ours has to be defensible as well — because in government contracting, someone eventually reads the record.
Two kinds of software, and nothing in between.
Government contractors have had a choice between modern HR platforms that treat labor accounting as an afterthought, and DCAA timekeeping tools that do one job well and know nothing about the person doing it. So most companies run both, and spend the difference reconciling them.
HelmRow was built on the assumption that this is one problem. The employee whose hours are examined in an audit is the same employee who was recruited, onboarded, issued a handbook, given leave and trained. Keeping that on one record is not a convenience. It is what makes the labor record hold up.
We also decided early that no feature would sit behind a pricing tier. A compliance control is not a premium feature; it is the reason the software exists. Every customer gets all of it.
Accountability and a good day at work aren’t opposites.
-
The record is the product
Workforce software has one real job: producing a record everyone can stand behind. The employee who entered it. The supervisor who approved it. The auditor who reads it two years later. Everything else in HelmRow serves that.
- History is never overwritten
- Decisions belong to people, not the system
-
Clarity is a control
People keep habits they understand. When entering time takes seconds and every number can explain itself, daily discipline stops being a policy you enforce and becomes a thing that simply happens.
- No timers, no clocks, no surveillance
- Policy stays yours to configure, never our opinion
-
The whole working life
Hiring, onboarding, records, leave, documents, training and pay are one continuous story about a person. We keep them on one record, and we add to it only as far as we can build it well.
- From hiring to the audit trail, on one record
- One accountable system throughout
Independent product, steady hands.
HelmRow is an independent company with one product: this one. The people who build it are the people who support it, and the record comes before the roadmap.
